Last Sunday, we joined throngs of pilgrims who were in town for Palm Sunday to make the procession from Bethphage to St. Anne's church in the Old City- the same walk Christ made on a donkey before the triumphal entry. When we got to St. Anne's, there was a crazy Palestinian band playing, so I joined a dance circle with a bunch of Spaniards. It got a little crazy until mass started.
A lot of people bought palms to carry during the procession. I wasn't one of them and I was kind of glad because it was so hot and the walk took about 6 times longer than normal with all those people!
