The Cold Apple

Over Presidents' Day weekend, we headed out to NYC for David's internship interviews and to find a midwife. So, you know, small things. Just our livelihood and our child's life.

Things that happened: we found a midwife; David interviewed like a champ and got two internship offers; we brunched at Sara Beth's in Chelsea Market and I had an omelet stuffed with apple butter :); we walked along the High Line and got stopped by a team of Stouffer's mac and cheese people, who filmed us answering some questions about our Valentine's Day plans for a commercial (we were suuuuuper awkward); ate banana pudding from Magnolia; I hung out in SoHo and at Union Square while David interviewed; we went to Madison Square Park to see the Flatiron building and got lunch at Eataly; also at Eataly, we had a pistachio cannoli that set the bar for all future cannolis; we got sort of lost in Chelsea, got delicious pie at Billy's Bakery and then . . .

got the flu. And spent the rest of the trip watching Bowman home videos on the couch.
