Capitol Reef

The week after we got back from NYC, I went on a field trip with my Wilderness Writing class to Capitol Reef and it was SO MUCH FUN. Even the van rides. Baby cooperated with all the hiking and I got to have sort of a sleepover every night, complete with much girl talk. Our teacher, John Bennion, proved his excellent taste in music and kicked my trash at Scrabble. I haven't seen much of southern Utah before and getting a taste of it was a good reminder to me that I am surrounded by awesome outdoors stuff here and I need to take advantage of it much more often.
