Yes, indeed, the babies are cute. I want to bring them all home and give them out like Christmas presents. Besides being cute, they are exceptionally well-behaved. I discussed the concept of mass upbringing with Mom, citing better behavior and go-with-the-flow-ness as its benefits. Not that I plan on ever having 13 2-year-olds at the same time. But I´m just saying that, if I did, I would know what to do with them.
I´m unconvinced, however, that I will know what to do with an actual non-orphan when the time comes for me to have kids. It occured to me that pretty much everything I know about babies comes from orphanages. My future home will be a very tight ship, with scheduled feeding times, massive quantities of sopa and one-size-doesn´t-quite-fit-all-but-it´s-much-more-efficient-than-having-the-proper-sizes diapers. And I won´t change those diapers until they are absolutely bursting at the seams, which equals roughly 3 times a day.
But seriously, I do have some questions about normal kids:
Do they have to wear stuff under footed pajamas? If they don´t have a onesie, shirt, sweater and pants underneath p.j.´s will they get really cold?
How often and how much do kids normally eat during the day?
How many ounces of formula do you feed a baby?
How many times do you change diapers during a regular day?
If there are little black bugs in a poopy diaper, what does that mean?
How much do normal kids want to be held?
How much water should kids drink during the day?
Do most kids spit up a lot? (I have never seen one of the kids spit up anything.)
Do kids usually take their p.j.´s off at night?
At what age do you start brushing teeth?
Everything is great outside the orphanages as well. There´s something to be said for stomach bugs that don´t allow you to gain weight even though you eat no-bake cookies on a daily basis. Living in a house with 12 girls and 1 boy is always interesting, though there´s a decided lack of drama. Rex Head, the founder of OSSO, and his family are here. Included in this family is the single most annoying creature I´ve ever encountered, his 15-year-old niece, who accompanies me to all my shifts. She refers to herself as ¨this cute little blonde girl¨ (as in, ¨This cute little blonde girl gets whistled at every single time she goes anywhere¨ and ¨This cute little blonde girl would really love it if you would let her have a no-bake cookie.¨) It´s super fun having her around :).
The other girls are really, really fun. We do a lot of workout videos, read a lot of bridal magazines, and laugh a lot.
Everybody´s getting bronchitis. I´m mostly past the contagious part of it I think, so I´m pulling 5 shifts in a row which means I´ll be at SVP for 36 hours. It´ll be good, though, because I´ll be changing age groups every 6 hours or so.
I almost forgot...I am going to go private in a couple of days so I can write more about the kids. It´s illegal with an open blog like this, but on a private one, I can post pictures with their names and stories and stuff. So email me at schmadison@gmail.com if you want an invite!
Love you all!

My kids were usually out of onesies under footy jammies by age 2, and they only wore a onesie under it if it was cold. :) I'm glad that everything is going well for you and I look forward to more updates.
