...and the festive parties never cease. Last Thursday, we had a fiesta with all the workers from SVP. We had a big dinner and then we performed for each other. The workers did several traditional, hip-swingy dances (except Sor Marisa, who is a nun and therefore apparently not allowed to move her hips in the slightest, even though I know she´s got moves because I´ve seen her dancing with the kids, but anyway...) And what did we prepare for them? Nothing. So we sang Jingle Bells and then our sites coordinator did the Soulja Boy dance. The combination of his dance moves and Sor Marisa´s face during it amounted to the funniest thing I´ve ever seen.

Here are some pictures of our festive shrub (the pines were expensive) and another that OSSO is using for its Christmas greeting to donors. This, by the way, is what I look like all the time now. No makeup, hair slicked back, slightly greasy, long overdue for a shower. Volunteering is not pretty. My face is actually refusing to take makeup anymore. It just kind of holds it above the surface like a weird, beige film. So it´s au natural for me. I don´t think anyone can actually see my face anyway, as I´m a foot taller than everyone else.

Looks like a lot of fun. Email me. I can never hear our phone converstaions very well! We miss you so much.
Love the new pictures. I can't believe you ate Gilbert and Anne's great-great-great grandson. We miss you! Did you get our Christmas present yet?
You always have such great adventures! I can't believe you actually ate the pig-on-a-stick. I can still remember the smell of those from the street vendors down there. Like burnt hair!
We miss you! Call us on Christmas! xoxo
