My Life Now.

So, I got home from Portugal. It's extremely bittersweet. I miss it more and more every day, but there are good things about being home.

Seeing my family.
Listening to music.
Sushi.

Which is why I'm not on the next plane back to the land of bacalhau and natas. Instead, I am the Anne Hathaway of Utah Valley Magazine, the epitome of a lowly intern (except for the coffee-fetching. This is Orem, after all.)

After squatting in a too-large and too-empty condo for a couple of months, I moved yesterday into a new apartment in Provo. New to me, I mean. It's actually pretty ghetto, but in a quaint way and I like it a lot. I have two roommates who are way cool — they made me cocomotion last night and one of them works at Great Harvest, so free bread for everyone. So far, the main drawback is that the sloping ceilings of the attic apartment make it impossible for me to stand up straight in the shower. Not even close to straight, actually. I have to kneel. So I guess I might take up bathing instead.

I'm dating David and it is awesome because he is awesome. Proof:

For Valentine's Day, he gave me the new Radiohead album. We did a NY Times crossword puzzle together last week and finished it (it wasn't the Sunday one, but still.) We're in a band and we're both giddy about playing music, which is super fun. He loves sushi as much as I do. Plus he's witty, loves the gospel and used to watch HGTV and Food Network in elementary school, which I think is adorable.

So things are going pretty well. If I could figure out what in the world I'm doing for the summer (and the rest of my life, for that matter), things would be even better, but I definitely can't complain.

As soon as I get them, I'll post pictures of the Toronto trip and videos of our show. We're playing again this Friday, so we'll post those videos on our blog :).
