Banquet

So, it's at the end :(. We had our banquet last night and today was our last day at work. I was holding up like a champ all morning and then I went and saw Jesus and he called me "Mommy" and I fell all apart and then he kissed me and told me he loved me and then I was actually sobbing, I think. The other kids were probably thinking, "Geez, we do this every 6 weeks. What is your problem?"
It's been an incredible 3 months and I am so happy, both for the experience and that I'm going home to start a new adventure. I will miss these kids so much! But it's awesome to know that everybody down here and the other volunteers love them just as much as we do.
Here are some pictures from our banquet: Our group, from left: Grace, Heather, me, Nikki, Ashley, Jenna, and Amanda.
We wanted to do a picture of us holding Andrew and he decided to turn it into a stunt. And then we dropped him.
And then we picked him back up and took a somewhat normal picture.
Our group with the group of girls that came down after us.
Jenny and Angel, the Quito project directors. They are the most awesome people I have ever met!
My roomies, Grace and Amanda.
So we're off to the Amazon tomorrow and then I'll be coming home on Tuesday. Yippee! We have a 9 and a half hour layover in Housten which I'm pretty darn excited for and then I'll be in Salt Lake at 11:30 p.m. And I will probably freeze my little bottom off!

These pictures make me cry. I want to bring all of them to my house.

What memories. I even remember our final banquet. It's amazing how hard it was to leave those little ones after our short stint. I can't imagine how you must feel.
