Today we had no classes, so we got to do a little exploring :). I gave some tours of the Center in the morning and then we were off. We saw Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock, which are on the same spot as Solomon's Temple was, the church of John the Baptist, which is the oldest original church in Christendom (they wouldn't let us in, which I didn't think was very Christian), the view from the top of a huge tower ( the tallest in the city), the Upper Room, which is the traditional site of the Last Supper, and the church where Mary supposedly died. It was such a fun day- we kind of got the giggles and couldn't stop laughing most of the time. Except in the holy places. Because I'm un-sacreligious like that :).
Climbing up the huge tower, I got so dizzy from the spiral staircase...it was covered with bird poop- reminded me of the academy ;).

Looks like you are seeing and learning so much. What a great experience. I bet Chris wishes he was there too!!
I think I may be most jealous of the falafel!! Okay, just kidding. Tre wants you to take more pictures of trees- he lusted after the one behind you in the shot with the puppies and the boxing boys :) It was an olive tree- and they can live over 2000 years! So, you are probably standing under the same trees all the big wigs did!

Great pictures! I have to admit I am a little jealous. Someday we'll go back and take you so you can show us all around. It looks like you are having a great time! We miss you. School isn't the same without seeing you once in a while. And I am sure that Halle wishes she still had a break from me so she could play with you. Have fun. We love you!
